Situated along the slopes of Ann Siang, Oxwell & Co has all the makings to be one of the best bars with food, booze and cocktails. This once sleepy row of shop houses has recently come alive.
This was Oxwell & Co's Christmas menu and from the looks of it, probably one of the better and mouthwatering menus served this Xmas.
For Starters we had the Pork Scratchings, Spiced Crispy Corn, Cullen Skink, Salmon Gravlax, Roast Beetroot and Spiced Duck Rilette. For the sides, we got Duck Fat Roast Potatoes, Pear and Stilton Salad, Roasted Sweet Carrots and Brussel Sprouts.
We munched away the Cullen Skink but i absolutely loved the Spiced crispy corn. Loved the way the chef created these dishes which are simple yet applying a twist to what you expect.
If you think that the starters and sides were wonderful enough, think again!
The mains consisted of Crispy Rolled Kurobuta Pork Belly, Whole Roasted Challand Duck, Oven Roasted Serama Chicken and Irish Salmon. Like i always say, the produce makes a difference and i the chef shared my sentiments to. Using really fresh and meat from the source, we were treated to a sensual budding experience
Among the mains, am gonna go for the crispy pork belly and the ever tender tasting duck.
So delicious were the mains and starters that it was difficult for the desserts to impress. Rasberry Trifle and Orange & Ginger Cake ended the meal. Fit for an Xmas menu but prolly not as exciting as the rest of the meal.
overallreview: shauneeie4.5hands. One of the better dinner mens i had this year. With a range of beers, cocktails and wine to pair with the dishes above, i am sure you would walk out a satisfied customer at Oxwell & Co. The carrots poached in butter is a must try, so too is the crispy pork belly and challand duck.
