The Club Singapore at Ann Siang brings to you a new cafe concept - Mr and Mrs Maxwell. Inspired by the travels and adventures of Mr and Mrs Maxwell, the new space in the Club Singapore unwind and enjoy classic breakfast.
So craving for some classic breakfast? Here's what we had
Available daily from 7am to 7pm. We had the Lobster omelette ($16) with herbs topped over sourdough. If you would like something simple, why not try Mr and Mrs Maxwell's English Fry up ($18). A sunny side up topped over grilled sausages, bacon, sauteed mushrooms with homemade brioche. The Ricotta Hotcakes @ $14 would also be good for sharing if you want something more sweet than savoury.
While having these mains, don't forget to pamper yourselves with some aw some adult shakes. Milkshakes with alcohol! Choose between Vodka Peanut Butter, Pina Colada Breakfast Shake, Chocolate Baileys and Kahlua Cookies and Cream. I personally loved the Vodka Peanut Butter shake which I found had the right balance of alcohol and peanut butter favour, and also because I am a peanut butter fan.
Still hungry, there's always space for desserts and were wowed by very traditional desserts like the Crepe Suzette ($16) and Baked Alaska ($16). If you're a tangy sort of person, the overwhelming orange liquor of the Crepe Suzette will be your choice of dessert. I liked the Baked Alaska though, topped with cotton candy, it's a photo worthy item and will be flamed when served.
With that many exciting creations and classics avaliable at Mr and Mrs Maxwell, its probably a good reason to get down and explore Ann Siang Hill's newest kept secret.
Oh yes! I forgot to mention about that sweet Champagne Punch ($18) to kickstart your weekend.
overallreview: shauneeie3.5hands. Mr and Mrs Maxwell serves up really classic dishes. Don't expect them to be the trendsetters nor the best, just some honest and simple breakfast items and bask in the ambiance of the stylish cafe.
