Wildfire Burgers @ Somerset 313 - Does it live to the wildfire hype?

Fancy some hearty American food? Wildfire Burgers + Bar is located conveniently at Somerset 313, and it’s a great place for either after work dinner and drinks, or a lazy Sunday lunch. Wildfire has another outlet at Evans Road, making this their second outlet in Singapore. Last year, they went up against Raven, Suprette, Cavers & Co and Potato Head Folk and won the Asia Burger Challenge 2015, so we went for lunch expecting some pretty awesome burgers.

The Truffled Mushroom ($23) that we ordered featured a 120 day grain fed premium aged beef patty, with arugula, gherkin, confit onions, truffle mayonnaise, sautéed mushrooms, and gruyere cheese. All the elements came together nicely, and the patty was juicy and succulent.

If you’re looking for finger food to accompany a few drinks, go for the Seafood Sharing Platter ($28), which comes with cod fingers, calamari, ebi fry, onion rings and nachos. These deep-fried platters are normally pretty standard, but this particular one exceeded one expectations. We loved the onion rings in particular!

For something a little different, try the Waffle with Kimchi Butter Fried Chicken ($16). An Asian twist on what would otherwise be some good old American comfort food? The dish also comes with shredded kimchi for your daily veggie intake. Not the best of waffles in my opinion, better stick to the burgers.

Overall review: shauneeie3hands. Some pretty innovative dishes and a good range of gourmet burgers that will definitely satisfy the carnivore in you.
